Euthanasia

Though we often do not want to think about it, our pets do not live as long as we do. Often, long-term illness or injury causes a decrease in quality of life. To ease the pain and suffering of their beloved companions, pet owners elect to humanely euthanize their pets. At Katy Pet Wellness Solutions, we aim to provide a compassionate environment to support you through this difficult time.

When a pet parent has elected to euthanize their pet, we will do everything we can to make the process as easy as possible. We will first visit with the owners and discuss the procedure. Pets are sedated first, then given the final injection. Owners have the option to be present if they choose and may spend as much time with their pet as they need.

After the procedure, all pets are released to a final care service for cremation. If owners would like the ashes returned, they will be cremated individually and the pet will be returned to us in a commemorative box with a clay paw print.
