Laser Therapy

Laser therapy, often called cold laser therapy or photobiomodulation, is the use of a specifically calibrated laser to help treat a number of ailments. Laser therapy is safe, painless, and non-invasive. Laser therapy helps with pain and inflammation and increases healing time of wounds and surgical incisions.

Laser therapy helps manage the following conditions:

  • Arthritis
  • Aural (ear) hematomas
  • Ear infections
  • Gingivitis
  • Muscle pain
  • Post-surgical pain
  • Stomatitis in Cats
  • Wounds
  • …and much more

We feel strongly about the benefits of laser therapy and we incorporate it in all of our surgical procedures where it is not otherwise contraindicated.

With our class IV laser, treatment only takes a few minutes per session in most situations. Laser therapy treatments can be single sessions for short-term conditions or repeated with regular frequency for treating chronic or long-term conditions.

If your pet has a condition that may benefit from laser therapy, call us to schedule an appointment and learn how laser therapy can help relieve pain and discomfort in your pet.
